Upcoming Parent Tech Talk

Please join us for our an Ambrit Parent Tech Talk on Tuesday, November 26 from 8:45 – 9:45 in the Theater. We recognize that there is an ever-changing world of technology that our children (and ourselves) are immersed in on a daily basis. We will be discussing a variety of topics such as online safety, digital trends, appropriate use of technology and more. It is important to have open, honest communication between between children and parents when it comes to technology and how we use it. We look forward to seeing you, it is our hope to help parents and provide the tools to help keep children safe.

A Little Look Into Learning At Ambrit

( what is happening across the PYP section)
There is so much thinking and learning happening at Ambrit, we thought it would be nice to give you a peek into classes. Thank you to our Curriculum Coordinator Kathryn Ramsay for the photos!

Green Committee Update

For the month of November, our objectives as a committee are to continue to monitor the recycling in the bins at school and supply new bins to areas that are lacking. Our new goal is to ensure there are no single-use water bottles in school. Watch this space!

Check out Ambrit’s green initiative’s on our website or follow us on Instagram

It’s never to early to start student action! Thanks to the generosity of FoA the Green Committee have purchased some lovely t-shirts, which we are now able to use on a daily basis to emphasise the work we need to do in our quest for a greener school. The EC children have a weekly monitor per class who ‘oversees’ the recycling for that group giving advice on where to throw the rubbish from snack. Thank you to Ms Anna for preparing the Spark page.

EC Recital- Save the date

The EC winter Recital will take place on Friday 13th December. Please inform the class teacher if you think your child will not be present on this date. More information to follow regarding costumes.

Piano and friends Concert

Piano and Friends Concert, Friday, November 29 at 18:30 in the Ambrit Theater. Come and hear Ambrit teachers and other music professionals perform a variety of music in this family-friendly concert. Donation E.10. Proceeds go to the Shillong Jhatia Orphanage which Ambrit has been supporting for twenty years. Students must be accompanied. Duration, one hour.

Birthday Parties and Reusable Plates

If you wish to bring a cake to school for your child’s birthday we ask that you help us in our quest to be a greener school by only supplying biodegradable plates and cups. Fortunately, this is much easier now and most things can be found in supermarkets.  These can then be thrown away with the leftover food items in the ‘umido’.

Examples can be found below.

The other option is that you speak to the class teacher and request to use our supply of reusable plates, cups and forks.
